New Blog! Whoot. We'll see how long I can keep this up.
It is finally summer. I've finished one year of college and I'm moved home for a couple of months. Transitions always kill me. Switching from Hillsboro to Wichita means changing friends, churches, living situations, and jobs. Jobs being that I didn't have one and now I need one. Also switching from people means a switching of accountability (from none to some--all the sudden) and the expectations of other people. Sometimes I feel like I'm two completely different people with two completely different life experiences and pasts, trying to merge them into one. It can be stressful at times. and sometimes I just need a little encouragement or reassurance, you know?
This summer my mom and I are joining a bible study at a church that I'm not even a part of. But then again...what church am I a part of anymore? But I'm excited for the study. I'm excited to be able to grow spiritually with my mom. It'll be a good time.
I'm also spending a couple of weeks at Morning Star again this summer. This I'm even more stoked for. I love inner city ministry so much.
So until I get a job, this bible study starts, and I leave for a couple weeks for camp, I have nothing to do. Ha! Just catching up with old friends and making some new. I love summer. I love the smell and the colors and the flowers.
So this week, this is my focus verse:
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock, and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14
